Size Chart
*Superior Cheer strongly suggests taking student measurements for the most accurate sizing.
Have the student stand with legs together, back straight, and twirling arm extended parallel with the floor. Using a cloth measuring tape, measure from the base of the neck to the tip of the middle finger – the result is your suggested baton length. If the number falls between lengths, size up.
Note:Â Some groups prefer the method of measuring from the under-arm to the end of the middle finger. Consult your group leader before using this method.
If you cannot take measurements, please refer to the guidelines below: If the twirler is tall for their age, add 1 to 2 inches. If they are small for their age, subtract 1 to 2 inches. These suggested lengths are based on the average student. These guidelines are not a guarantee that the baton will be at the preferred length of the twirler.
Student Age | Baton Length* |
---|---|
1 to 4 years | 18 inches |
5 to 7 years | 20 inches |
8 to 10 years | 22 inches |
